UV Plus

UV Plus The enjoyment of many peoples pond experience is ruined by the 'all too familiar' green water. Although this has no adverse effect on pond inhabitants, it does make a pond look unsightly. Green water is caused by single cell algae that can flourish at an extraordinary rate. In mid-summer, an algae bloom can ruin a crystal clear pond.

There are many products, both natural and biological which claim to clear the water. However, there is no technology as effective as an ultra violet lamp (U.V.). There are two different types of U.V. There are U.V. clarifiers that only stop green water problems and U.V. sterlisers such as our U.V. Plus range, which not only eliminate green water, but also kill 99.9% of bad bacteria and viruses that cause fish health problems.

These units are the best on the market and have been proven in both hobbyist's ponds and fish farming. The U.V. Plus range are engineered using 316L stainless steel which is highly polished on the inside for improved performance.

They utilise high performance germicidal sterilising lamps which still have a radiation level greater than 30,000 micro Watt/Sec/cm2, even after more than 1 year of continuous use. These units also have a lamp life counter and audio visual alarm system to let you know when the bulb needs changing.
