The ‘Answer’ is designed to fit to exit pipe work within the primary settlement stage or prime mechanical filtration chambers, whether pump or gravity fed, from the pond.

The water entering ‘The Answer’ generally comes from the bottom of the pond and contains dust, leaves and fish feces, amongst other solids.
 
At this stage, it is important to stop all ‘mechanical’ solids from entering the biological stage, the more mechanically clean the water, the more effectively the biological stage will work – hence the development of ‘The Answer’.
 
‘The Answer’ is a mechanical, self-backwashing fine-screen filter, which is low maintenance and gives excellent water clarity and quality, whilst protecting the bio stage from unwanted solids.

The Nexus 2000 is a part of Evolution Aqua's established filter system incorporating the industry proven Kaldnes Moving Bed coupled with the now recognized 'Answer' mechanical filter and the new 'fines polisher with air backwash'.  The Answer, launched 4 years ago, is a mechanical self cleaning micron-screen which is extremely low maintenance.

Combined, they provide outstanding water clarity and quality.  The Nexus 2000 system is designed for gravity fed configuration only.

The Nexus 2000 system is a complete unit and includes the Nexus body, Answer self-cleaning micron screen, central orifice plate, fines polisher with air backwash, air diverter valve, unionized ball valves to waste, and Kaldnes media for the bio-reactor (fluidized Kaldnes). • Kaldnes Moving Bed

The pond sieve is a bow screen pre-filter which is designed to remove large amounts of mechanical waste from a pond. This must be set-up gravity fed (bottom drain or mid-feed) but has many benefits over the original bow screen technology.

This sieve has variable inlet height using the unique Pondflow regulation system (patent pending). This allows water levels within the pond to drop without causing the circualting pump to be starved of water. The pond sieve will allow a skimmer or a bottom drain to accept vast amounts of waste without excessive cleaning needed to be carried out.

The water must then be pumped to either a normal filter above pond level (Nexus Eazy/Eazy Pod) or to a pressurised filter. It is advised that all pressurised filters be pre-filtered using a pond sieve to reduce excessive backwashing and maintenance.

The Cetus sieve is a totally new, bow screen pre-filter, made using the latest rotational molding technology. With all of its benefits and build quality, it is undoubtedly the best of its kind on the market today, regarding quality and performance! As all fishkeepers know it is necessary to remove chlorine and other impurities from tap water when introducing it to a pond or aquarium. Failure to do this can result in fish health problems and also adversly effects the growth of benefical bacteria in all filters.

The most common method of de-chlorination is to add chemical treatments to break down the chlorine. This method is costly and can require accurate measurement of the amount of water to be treated. The De-Tox de-chlorinator simply connects in-line to a hose pipe with standard hose fittings (supplied).

The De-Tox carbon filter removes the toxins in tap water prior to it coming in to contact with your fish and filters.

The FC12 High-Grade activated carbon filter will treat up to :- 150,000l (33,000 UK gallons.

The FC30 High-Grade activated carbon filter will treat up to :-350,000l (76,922 UK gallons.
